Gene Simmons To Record Prodigy Cover

Gene Simmons is planning on recording a cover of The Prodigy's 'Firestarter' for his upcoming solo album.

The track will be recorded this Friday with Jane's Addiction's guitarist Dave Navarro as special guest. UK based DJ Overseer will produce.

In a statement at his website, Simmons says "This is the last track to be recorded and is the only track being produced by an outside producer. Wait until you hear it. Overseer is cutting edge. The rest of the album, 13 songs in all, has been finished for over a month. I've been tinkering with some edits and remixes, but for all intents and purposes, the album is done".

Simmons has christened the forthcoming album Asshole.
