TL;DR: As of Oct. 25, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 is on sale for $199.99, down from $299.99. That's 33% off and its lowest price ever on Amazon.

Many of us have lugged 20-pound backpacks to and from school or hauled hefty suitcases onto flights. With the Lenovo IdeaPad 1, you can take a load off — this basic, no-frills laptop is less than an inch thick, weighs just over three pounds and is designed to maximize convenience with up to eight hours of battery life.

The specs of the IdeaPad 1 are pretty basic, but it's a definite bargain even for its original price. With 164GB of storage, 4GB RAM, and a 14-inch HD display, this isn't a laptop for hardcore gaming or video editing, but it's perfect for productivity purposes.

If you need more storage, there are USB ports to connect an external hard drive, and an HDMI port if you would like to add an additional monitor. Even on its own, this ice blue laptop will meet your basic computing needs.

Check it out now at Amazon.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
