DJ TP1965 has been ripping up the Soul & Jazz Forum with some pretty cool videos as of late. Tonight he presents drummer extraordinaires Elvin Jones and Art Blakey in a showdown battle; jazz female legends-- Ella Fitzgerald (crooning a classic in an Abbot & Costello western)--Sarah Vaughan (in a rare early television appearance)--and Nina Simone in an animated video; jazz pianist McCoy Turner in a clip from his prime; trumpet player Herb Albert performing at the Monterrey Jazz Festival; and the number one world dance hit from from English boys Jez Colin and Matt Cooper of The Latin Project. If you love jazz, you won't want to miss these classics. And you can watch them all HERE at your leisure. Enjoy.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
