Knock2 pops off with an explosive new single and visual representation of “dashstar*.”

This action-packed bass house number takes us to another flow and another dimension. Packing in ample rave synths and a forceful lead, powerhouse rhythm drives the track forward — with layers of top-tier sound design, alluring vocals, and bounce tactics to boot.

If Knock2 doesn’t have your attention by now, allow “dashstar*” to be the guide. The music video exists in a virtual space, sometime in the early 2000s, pulling inspiration from Japanese sci-fi. Through video-game friendly visuals, vibrant colors and flashy typography, we’re let in on the vast new world of “dashstar*.”

Night Mode shares of the release:

dashstar* is a feeling you get when your consciousness transcends your body. Simply put: it’s an out of body experience. dashstar* is a destination and a feeling.

Named one of our Top 40 Artists to Watch in 2021, Knock2 has strategically straddled the line between house and bass music with an energetic style all his own. We’re certainly here for his first single of the year and can’t wait to hear the project continue to progress.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
