Take a deep breath, relax yourself, and put on Laxcity’s latest EP. “Disconnect” is a 6 track collection of an array of chill electronic music. Laxcity explores various genres throughout the entire record before ending with a chill pop anthem “The Way That I Do” with frequent collaborator EMIA.

Laxcity made this EP last year after taking some time off to recenter his thoughts about his music. He found himself being overly critical, not liking anything he was creating, and realized he needed a reset. I think this is a good learning experience for anyone to make sure to take time for yourself in whatever it is you do. Make sure you aren’t too hard on yourself and enjoy doing the things you love.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
