This 43-inch TV is great for small rooms — and it's on sale for $200

Save $50: As of Jan. 25, the Hisense 43-inch smart TV (43H5500G) is on sale for $199.99, down from $249.99.


Big, fancy TVs are cool, but if you're looking for a TV for your bedroom or small living room, a 65-inch set just doesn't seem practical. A 43-inch television makes more sense.

As of Jan. 25, one of Amazon's deals of the day is a 43-inch Hisense Full HD Android smart TV, which is on sale for $199.99, saving you $50.

Just because this isn't a Sony or Samsung doesn't mean it's not an impressive TV. It's got immersive surround sound, sharp resolution, and image processing that reduces lag during fast-moving scenes.     • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
