How to share your WiFi password from your iPhone

We get it. With data breaches happening all the time, it’s important to have a strong WiFi password. But when your friend comes over to live-tweet the latest Bachelor, it can be tedious to type in a password that looks like a cat tap-danced on your keyboard. Thanks to the developers at Apple, there is now a feature that helps you share your WiFi password from your iPhone. 

First things first: Make sure that both the device that’s sharing the password and the device receiving it are up to date with the latest versions. Otherwise, this feature won’t work. Apple added it with the iOS 11 update, so sharing your password is only possible with a device that has this version or higher.       You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020."
