Saint Punk jumpstarts a promising 2021 with his brand new grunge house release, “Empty Bed.”

The deep, alluring vocals and ominous 4/4 beat immediately capture our attention, as Saint Punk balances a dark and energetic soundscape through gritty synths and an addictive groove. The result is bold and emotional, finding an instinctual home with Monstercat.

As those familiar with the Saint Punk sound may notice, “Empty Bed” marks a shift in the producer’s repertoire, exploring a more main-stage sound while maintaining his signature grunge house flair. Also, the vocals take front and center for the first time in a Saint Punk release.

In his own words:

This record is something new for me. It’s my first song with a full vocal throughout. There’s a lot you can say with a mostly instrumental track, but sometimes there’s so much more to say. There’s strong emotions in this, but it still feels 100% like me. — Saint Punk

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
