Tom Holland suits up as a tortured soldier in gritty 'Cherry' trailer

In the opening moments of the Cherry trailer, Tom Holland dons a mask — not the superhero face we've grown to find comfort in, but the face covering of a young man about to rob a bank. The film reunites him with Marvel directors Joe and Anthony Russo, this time adapting a novel by Nico Walker.

Cherry chronicles the postwar life of an Iraq vet who grapples with PTSD and addiction and becomes a bank robber in desperate times. Flashbacks reveal his time serving in battle and meeting the love of his life (Ciara Bravo) before everything fell apart.

Cherry hits select theaters Feb. 26 and Apple TV+ on March 12. Read more...
