Miss USA TRUMPED

Recommended Posts

Organisers of the Miss Universe pageant have confirmed that they are "evaluating" the "behavioural and personal issues" of Miss USA, 20-year-old Tara Conner.

Conner, who was crowned in April, has been the subject of negative media reports following a spate of incidents that are being euphemistically referred to as "inappropriate behaviour".

The former Miss Kentucky is believed to have a drinking problem, despite being below the legal drinking age in the US.

Following intense speculation on the celebrity website TMZ.com predicting her imminent demise, the Miss Universe and Miss USA organisation, which is owned by Donald Trump, was forced to release a statement denying the beauty queen had been dethroned..

"Miss USA Tara Conner has not been dethroned. The Miss Universe Organization and Mr Donald J Trump will be evaluating her behavioural and personal issues to see what we can do to work with her, and what we will do about her reign going forward. Mr Trump will make a determination and announcement within the coming week," the statement read.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
