Laxcity has returned from a year and a half hiatus with a new single “The Way That I Do” ft. EMIA. You may recall that he wasn’t sitting around doing nothing over that break though. Justin Beiber actually used one of Laxcity’s samples in his album and it caused a bit of a viral moment for the UK based artist. Now Laxcity is back to releasing original music and I couldn’t be happier.

“The Way That I Do” sees Laxcity team up with familiar collaborator EMIA to create musical bliss yet again. Their combination is something to behold as EMIA’s angelic voice pair magically with Laxcity’s ethereal soundscapes. With his Disconnect EP due out in a few weeks there’s plenty more to expect from one of my favorite producers.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
