GRiZ just announced his 7th annual 12 Days of GRiZMAS event!

The staple Detroit holiday series will run quite differently this year, with the festivities streaming live on Twitch and Zoom over December 12 – 23. Fans around the world will soon be treated to live-streamed performances, activities, and community service initiatives to make a difference.

This year, the GRiZMAS Digital Charity Festival features a blow-out, genre-bending lineup featuring DestructoAC Slater, J.Worra, Blunts & Blondes, Sunsquabi, ProbCause, Codes and 10+ more unnanounced artists. Oh yeah, and a two-hour live performance from GRiZ himself!

Since 2014, GRiZ’s 12 Days of GRiZMAS series has made a true impact in Detroit and surrounding communities, raising over $200,000 in the past two years alone. Together with local non-profit Seven Mile, GRiZMAS aims to raise funds for music education, art programs and coding lessons, all of which are vital creative outlets for urban youth.

The DJ/producer has been honored with the “Spirit of Detroit” for his ongoing GRiZMAS efforts — and during this especially trying time, it’s important for GRiZ to support the city that raised him. With this installment of GRiZMAS, GRiZ continues his journey as a beacon of positivity both globally and in his own backyard through his mission of connectivity and authenticity.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
