This video of dancing Philadelphia voters will make you believe in democracy

It is not a partisan statement in the year of our lord 2020 to say that the ongoing U.S. Election is a mess. But voters are turning out in record numbers, spending hours in line while waiting to cast their ballots — and entertaining themselves while they wait.

A group of Philadelphia voters decided to pass the time while dancing on line to "Mississippi Cha Cha Slide." The resulting video went viral on Twitter, containing the perfect mix of positive energy, patriotism, and safe pandemic behavior.

Nothing and no one is getting in the way of our joy and our vote! #joyisanactofresistance #joytothepolls @JoyToThePolls #vote #EarlyVoting #TurnUp #Philly pic.twitter.com/2i8gKO1Gv5

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
