Kygo brings us back to the 80s in a flash with his revitalized disco classic “Hot Stuff” with Donna Summer.

The powerhouse vocals do most of the talking as Kygo takes “Hot Stuff” to new places. Melodic piano, lush synths, and driving energy move the track along — and it’s a total party in approximately 3 minutes.

The original track, produced by Pete Bellotte and Giorgio Moroder, released in 1979 and served as the lead single for Donna’s album Bad Girls. Decades later, “Hot Stuff” remains one of the greatest songs of all time.

Kygo says in a press release —

Donna Summer is one of my favorite artists of all time. Her catalogue of music is brilliant and her vocals are unmatched. I am honored and humbled to get to work on an iconic track like “Hot Stuff”. This has always been one of those songs that instantly puts me in a good mood and I hope that this version can continue to bring joy and happiness to people who want to celebrate the legendary Donna Summer.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
