I want your thoughts on this:

Do you feel that because your parents may have supported you when you were younger, that you "owe" it to them to support them now?

(Pay the bills they run up etc, just because they did it for you when you were younger and unable to work)

I'd have to know more about the circumstances, but in general, if they took care of you, I'm sure you would want to show your gratitude one way or another, as opposed to say "oweing them"

Hmm.

Fair question. I suppose you could compare it to the surveyors' treatement when they call my house. They couldn't give a shit about you or your answer, just how it compares to everyone elses.

I have no patience for faceless entities. This is a person doing some sort of report and likely getting graded or paid for it. If they want real input they should offer reimbursement for our time like anyone else.
