Your EDM Premiere: Chamberlain – Lippy

Chamberlain’s new Ancient Technology EP comes out this Friday, June 19, on Gravitas Music. Today, we’ve got the premiere of the lead single on the release, “Lippy.”

“Lippy” is a powerful, glitchy, and supremely bouncy track. The bass is heavy and the synth work is so crisp and clean that it begs to be played on a more tuned, club-ready system. The chopped vocal style fits well with the equally chopped up rhythm, giving it an even more bouncy feel than it would normally have, clearly noticeable in the parts of the song without the vocals. It’s a testament to how astutely Chamberlain was able to construct the project and the way it all fit together.

The whole concept of Ancient Technology came together from Chamberlain’s desire to “encompass both tribal and high tech elements while conveying environmental and organic themes.”

Ancient Technology to me sounded indicative of an ancient civilization in an alternate world that harnessed energy and technology beyond our current capacity to understand,” he continued.

The full EP is out this Friday, but listen to “Lippy” below right now!

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
