Are you ready to go dark and deep? Who knew that progressive house titans DubVision would be the ones to take us there, but that’s exactly what their new single “Take My Mind” does. “Take My Mind” is a sultry house tune with an affecting vocal hook and some dark, rave-y synths during the drop. The track actually got its world debut on Martin Garrix’s “Live on Dutch Waters” boat set last week. We all know the STMPD Records head honcho went all out for that one.

The track opens with the male vocal set against some piano house notes. There’s not really a buildup, just a really cool effect before the synths and the beat combine during the drop to transport the listener to a dark warehouse rave. The track elements go even harder the second time around and there’s an epic synth breakdown before the final drop. Just close your eyes and bounce to this one, in your room, of course.

Listen to the latest from DubVision “Take My Mind” out now on STMPD. Check out their home live set from the recent STMPD RCRDS virtual festival as well.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
