With social distancing in full effect, everyone lately has been calling me up and I love it. Alphalove’s new song “Call Me Up” isn’t about the current quarantine, but I feel like it still fits with the times, nonetheless.

“Call Me Up” is a smooth piano house tune with an fun melody and catchy vocals. It wastes no time in getting into the groove, focusing on the danceability of the track and the vibes it puts out. The writing isn’t anything particularly special, but the production is as high quality as you could hope for on a simple tune that just simply makes you want to move. And sometimes, that’s really all we need.

Check out “Call Me Up” from Alphalove below, out now on Thrive Music.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
