If you follow my music reviews (and honestly, if you do, you probably have too much time on your hands), you’ll know that my tastes for house music are very particular. It takes a uniquely amazing tune to really get me vibing at 120 BPM, and Lipless has me thriving right now.

His new tune “Losing Myself” immediately sounds like if Lane 8 and Rufus Du Sol had a love child and produced this. It’s incredibly atmospheric, beautifully melodic, and persistently exciting. The pacing of the song, as well as the production itself, demonstrate a talent that hasn’t yet been reflected in Lipless’s live bookings. But, 565,000 monthly listeners on Spotify can’t be wrong.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
