Claude VonStroke sets the current quarantine mood with a fresh new track, “I’m Solo” — but that wasn’t his intent from the start.

As the song’s title and lyrics suggest, most of us are rolling solo right now with social distancing in full effect. The mood is somber and a little weird, without being too depressing, as a lighthearted four on the floor groove plays off a solo vocal performance from Barry Drift and lush piano chords.

In this time of isolation, Claude has gotten back to what he loves doing the most: creating amazing music. The Dirtybird boss returns with this brand new original, “I’m Solo” out now via Dirtybird Records. Ironically, this track was begun, complete with the “I’m Solo” title, before we entered the coronavirus quarantine.

Listen here and remember we’re in this together.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
