Recommended Posts

Actor Suzanne Pleshette has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.

The 69-year-old - best known for her role as Emily, wife of Bob Newhart in the 1970s hit The Bob Newhart Show - was diagnosed during a routine X-ray.

Agent Joel Dean said it was the size of "a grain of sand and was caught very much in time" - and "she feels very lucky".

Pleshette was receiving chemotherapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, he said.

Pleshette's TV credits include 8 Simple Rules and Will & Grace.

If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium and Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds are among her films.

Sad.

I liked "The Bob Newhart Show". One of the funniest shows of it's time!! Suzanne was the perfect foil to Bob's dead pan humor.

i agree mate..i loved his (newharts) deadpan delivery and dry wit.....a very funny show..sad news indeed... :(
