Ask most up-and-coming DJs what festival they dream of being booked to play in their career, and they’ll likely say EDC Las Vegas. It’s the biggest electronic music festival in the country, and getting booked to play is not only an honor, but also a gateway to much, much bigger things.

Your EDM is teaming up with Corona Electric Beach and Insomniac Records on their annual contest to get you to Las Vegas for a slot on the Corona Electric Beach stage at the legendary festival.

Corona Electric Beach, an iconic EDM-centric pop-up experience, celebrates the 8th year of its “Beats Meet the Beach” nationwide sponsorship of festival pioneers, including Electric Daisy Carnival, HARD Summer & more. Insomniac Records works to push the brightest and most promising young producers on one of the biggest electronic platforms in the country.

No other event brings over 100 tons of beach sand, palm trees and wood decor elements to create an authentic beach setting with intimate DJ sets that brings the Corona experience to life.

Entering the contest is simple: Entrants must submit either one (1) 30-45 minute DJ mix that demonstrates boldness and precision, OR one (1) 3-8 minute original track via the Wavo Entry Site that captures or demonstrates an optimal combination of originality and professionalism.

The prizes are incredible:

  • A DJ slot at Corona Electric Beach’s stage at EDC Las Vegas
  • (2) Roundtrip flights
  • Weekend Festival passes + Shuttle pass
  • (1) Helicopter Ride
  • Hotel accommodations & artist style airport pickup

EDC Vegas returns to the Las Vegas Speedway Friday, May 17 to Sunday, May 19. This is your shot to basically skip the line and become a famous DJ — or at least, it’s your best shot at such a maneuver. Just head over to Wavo to drop off that official submission.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
