Help this useless sequencing newbie!

Ello. I'm new to programs such as Cubase, Reason etc, and making digital music in general. But I'm also starting out all alone and I'm getting really frustrated with not really knowing what I'm doing, and I've only managed to find crap online tutorials so far that only make me more confused...

Would anyone in the Bristol/Oxford area... in fact, anywhere, goddamnit... who knows a bit about sequencing, computer set-ups etc be willing to give me some guidance?? Can't offer that much in return, apart from a pint and a good chat about obscure artists, but if anyone would be willing to help initiate a clueless beginner I would be so grateful!

Even a bit of email help would be great.

(I'm particularly into Warp, Mu, Skam, Ninja Tune sort of stuff, but also anything from cheesy breaks to Wagner)

Cheers...!

the Reason is a complicated program but if you know some basics about notes and soundwaves then it will get easier. I wish I was in your area to help you but if you pay the tickets and accomodation then something could be worked out :D

good luck on everything

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
