FREAK ON has arrived with an instinctive debut EP — a double dose of his sharp, unmistakable sound.

The Prescription Records proudly presents the Freak Like This EP, a 2-track snapshot of FREAK ON’s freaky fresh, but ultra deadly vibe. Attitude is everything and it’s easy to hear the confidence engrained into this project through the vibrations of these brand new productions, “Like This” and “I Don’t Die.”

FREAK ON has a sort of split personality when it comes to his music. On his A-side: a deep appreciation for booty-popping, tech house-fueled club bangers. The B-side: a more unexpected blend of intense, dark and gripping contemporary house with a strong nod to the UK bass movement. The common denominator here is fattened, unapologetic bass, which makes the FREAK ON sound oh-so-cohesive.

“I wanted to show both sides of my production with my debut EP. The A side ‘Like This’ showcases my love for tech house and original goofy vocals. ‘I Don’t Die’ showcases the darker side of my production with its sinister vocals and deep groove.” – FREAK ON

FREAK ON hit the ground running this year with a fierce stream of releases including “Rock Em” and “Poison.” Plus, choice remixes for JOYRYDE x Skrillex, Spice Girls, Lil Pump, and more. He continues his brisk rise to the spotlight with his inaugural Freak Like This EP, out now.

Listen here and remember the name: FREAK ON.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
