Want to win a guitar? Go to the Inkslingers Ball on April 21st!

JetSpeed Records will be donating a guitar to the Inkslingers Ball, a world wide tattoo expo, to be raffled off. All of the proceeds for the raffle will go to Right to Rock, a non-profit organization that supports school music programs, and freedom of speech in the music community.

The 15th Annual Inkslingers Ball will be visiting the Anaheim Angel Stadium April 21st starting at 5 p.m. Also, on April 21-22 starting at 1 p.m.

Want to rock out? More than 40 artists in the rock and metal world are coming together to take the stage throughout the event.

Want to get inked? Get another or pop the needle cherry at this fast paced expo. Virtually anyone who’s anyone in the tattoo world with be there with legendary artists such as Gill Montie, Jack Armstrong, Wess Grimm, Deano Cook, Patti Kelly and Judy Parker, just to mention some.

Already inked? Show off the wicked art on your body! There will be plenty of contests to enter including Best Tribal, Best Black and White, Best Color and Best Sleeve.

What goes hand in hand with tats? Piercings! On the second floor, there will be collaborations of piercing and fashion vendors who put the O in counter culture. Explore quality clothes from the opposite side of the fashion spectrum. There will be an Xtreme Fashion Show on the Cat Walk Stage displaying models from the Goddess Freak Ensemble.

What good are tats and piercings without hot rides? Check out awesome whips on display from MTV’s Pimp My Ride and custom bikes from US Chopper.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
