  1. July 8, 2006 The Reversibles & Toe Head Review The night was slow, but the venue was a spectacle. A freak show themed C.I.A. hosted The Reversibles as they played an up-tempo, pop driven set. A defined staged set up a tight band with hook-line and sinker melodies and Andy McCutcheon’s notable, sensible voice. There was a slight lack of enthusiasm, and a small crowd, but the Reversibles rocked it out anyway. Witty banter between songs, and connecting with the audience helped their set become livelier. They played their songs, under their new name, well and were in sync with each other, more that most other bands. They set the carnival up for Toe Head just right. Then, as per usual, Toe Head played an awesome, energetic set. These guys really know how to put on a show. For two people, or two hundred, they have more spunk and drive than I have seen put into a live performance in a long time. Wes runs around the stage with his band mates and kept the crowd tapping along. With their funky bass undertones and up-beat rock riffs, and quirky yet fun lyrics keeps everything entertaining. They were not just energy, but had the music to match. The show was tight, in tune, and had perfect timing. They jump up together, and land together, like any good rock band should. Get up and dance, maybe mosh a little, and rock out to Toe Head. They are truly entertaining and merit a, “Hey, lets go see Toe Head tonight.”
  2. JetSpeed Records is proud to welcome back singer/songwriter and soul maker Ken Daniels to the label. After vigorous months of minutia, the two have mended fences and having bigger and better things to come while working together! You can check out his new sight at www.jetspeedrecords.net and www.jetspeedrecords.com AND his MySpace at www.myspace.com/kendaniels AND www.myspace.com/jetspeedrecords Ken Daniels has had music in his heart since he was born. Singing and playing the drums since he was five, Ken blends soulful R&B music with powerful Christian lyrics with a side of pop hooks that will suck in any listener. Starting off by making music with his brothers and sisters, Ken has developed his talent and pours blood, sweat, and tears into all of his musical endeavors including his release “Victimized.” Deriving influence from old school greats like The Temptations, The Jackson Five, The Isely Brothers and even Elvis Presley and The Beatles, Ken blends his Marvin Gaye-like vocals with deep, intense grooves. His music if full of melodic hooks, soulful sounds, and even hip-hop beats that you want to take the time to sit back and listen to. Playing and living in St. Louis, Missouri, Ken loves to play his music in Churches and anywhere else he can. His passion in life is music, and it is portrayed loyally through his lyrics and style. He creates music from personal experience and wants his songs to bring people back to a good part of life, just like music does for him. Victimized has the ability to soothe the soul. Everyday life comes through in his thought provoking lyrics. He creates something that is honest and playful that every music fan can feel. He wants to win a Grammy, and will continue to stay dedicated to his craft. For Ken, music is priceless. He will be playing ALL OVER St. Louis throughout the up-and-coming months, and can be heard on College Radio throughout Missouri. Pick up a copy of the one of a kind R&B sound on “Victimized” today! You can get it at www.jetspeedrecords.net and www.jetspeedrecords.com ALSO… check out tons more of our great artists!
  3. JetSpeed Records and Red Galaxy Records have maintained a strict policy to remain silent amidst the slander and personal attacks on its staff. We can do so no longer. The LIES stop here ...THE LINE IS DRAWN ....and now.....the LIES will go no further. JetSpeed/Red Galaxy Records has NEVER been found guilty of ANY wrong doing pertaining to its business practices. The Music Business is very competitive and cut throat and brings with it, an element that thrives on lies and cheats. We have NEVER been found to be either. We have strived to work our ASSES off for our artists...With numerous success stories ranging from Nixon Nation to Sky Malone (Stevie Ray Vaughn) we have come through for our artists! The lies that many a failed artist likes to tell is that we took their money.....and gave them nothing....WHAT A JOKE.....In all cases, we offered production, promotion, publicity, tour planning and song preparation. In most cases, we paid for hotel rooms, photo shoots, food, transportation and STUDIO TIME AND FULL STUDIO PRODUCTION!!.....It amazes us, that to this day, an artist will sign a contract without a clue as to what they agree to! Verbally and in the contract, we advise them to seek an attorney. If an artist meets the terms of their contract....we come through. If an artist TRIES TO CHEAT US....we drop them....THAT IS OUR LEGAL RIGHT......Trying to blame us for their own stupidity is a sign of several things. First, that we need to upgrade our talent review. Second.......we now FORCE an artist to sign a WAIVER stating they understand terms. Millions of actors and musicians have come to Hollywood seeking their fame and fortune. The actor gets an agent and all of a sudden he thinks he'll have his own TV series in a month and a house in Bel-Air next year. How dumb is that? What about the musician who gets a record deal with a major label? Gotta buy that Ferrari and all the bling-bling. Sounds good. Superstar $$$. It just doesn't work that way for most acts. Sometimes yes. But 99% of the time NO NO NO. Most bands with any record company are not happy. The last fifty years has seen hundreds of lawsuits regarding a band versus a major record company. They blame the promotions department, or the publicist, or the marketing&merchandising dept. Blame the radio stations, blame the record buying public, anything. It's easy to blame someone else. Instead of where the real faults lie sometime. THE BAND ITSELF. TRUE TALENT IS UNIQUE AND VERY SPECIAL... THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE JOHN LENNON OR KURT COBAIN! Another issue is Jetspeed Records receiving demo submissions from Talent 2K. We have NEVER been affilliated with Carlo or Talent 2K. It's too bad when one "bad apple" gives the record biz a bad name. But we are just one label out of many who openly requests demos from bands. So we have to network with many different vendors and "connections" to receive a large volume of submissions, hoping to find the next big thing. Just like from any other source, we got tapes from Talent 2K. That's all, no big deal. WE STOPPED ACCEPTING DEMOS FROM TALENT 2K WHEN WE BECAME AWARE OF THE COMPLAINTS. We never received kickbacks or any other gratuities from Carlos. To tie us into the problems that Talent 2K made for itself is not justified. We have been a well established supporter of our Local Music Scene...sponsoring multiple artist friendly events, donating time, musical gear, MONEY,and experise to help our proffession!!.....,,,,,,Orange County Music Awards, Inland Empire Music Awards, Right To Rock, National Heart Foundation, .....to name...only a recent few.......To those who question our integrity.......please....show...us what you have done for the music business lately.....WE STAND BY OUR RECORD! Our goal was to provide a one stop package deal for bands to produce their CD's in Hollywood. Not having to find a studio somewhere, or a photographer and art director, CD presser, etc. We PAY for your hotel. WE Supply all transportation around town, WE PAY the producer and recording studio, WE PAY for a pro photo session, WE PAY for the Art Director, WE SUPPLY our own production staff of publicists and radio promotions, marketing and merchandisers. WE PAY for the CD pressings. Everything that's involved, we handle and take care of. We provide all these services in a lower package price that beats going around your hometown in the Midwest trying to find all these vendors seperately. We are PROS. We work with other industry pros who have long since grown past the need for helping "beginner artists",,,,,We are talking about MULTI -PLATINUM PRODUCERS AND ENGINEERS...Who HAVE MADE IT BIG ......... They believe in what JetSpeed/Red Galaxy stands for......The facts are: A VERY BITTER artist, already found to be in breach of agreement, has filed a NONSENSE "NUISANCE" suit against us. The so called "MUSIC WATCH DOGS" of the INTERNET WORLD have attempted to line their pockets by attempting to make this NONSENSE suit into something CONTROVERSIAL... This shows that while they claim to be helping the "independent artist" , they are merely trying to " cash in" and gain profit in a FUTILE attempt to slander JetSpeed/Red Galaxy Records. This constitutes EXTORTION... To these "Vipers", we say this....you will fail, since you have no facts to back up your slander.......to our artists reading this....we stand by you ....AS ALWAYS!! THE BOTTOM LINE IS - IT TAKES TALENT AND A LOT OF LUCK... Regards!
