Okay, first off I'll warn you that I tend to go cheap. Who would have thought?

The next step up is a Soundblaster Live! It's what I would suggest. It will allow you to play tunes at a better sound, without resorting to overkill. You only have two sattelite speakers, not 5.1, so I can't justify going to an Audigy or Extigy. Those two do have better sound, but I doubt you would really benifit from them with that speaker set up.

(Not that the Live won't cover 5.1, but it probably wouldn't be the ultimate sound if you were going to pick up one of the big speaker combos.)

However, the Walmart site you linked to doesn't offer what I'm talking about, the Audigy is the next step up. 69.99

The Soundblaster Live! 5.1 should only be around 39.99 or so, but I don't know your local market, so I can't tell you where to start looking for the Live! Best Buy doesn't carry it either. Don't pick up that 16 Bit PCI audio card, it's comparable to what you have already.

Audigy - The site says only available online right now.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
