This keyboard turns the new iPad Pro into a laptop with teeny-tiny bezels

Over the last couple of years, Apple has been pushing the iPad as a full-fledged laptop replacement — especially since the introduction of the iPad Pro.

Well, now you can take that a step further. Accessory maker Brydge has announced new keyboards for the latest home button-less iPad Pro, and by the looks of them, they really do turn Apple's tablet into a touchscreen-equipped laptop.

Details about the new keyboards (or even high-resolution photos) are absent. All we know is that they'll be shipping in "early 2019."

But Brydge has been doing this for a long time, and its keyboards for the iPad always looked and acted like the lower part of a laptop. But now that the iPad Pro's design has been simplified even more, the iPad Pro equipped with a Brydge keyboard looks almost exactly like a MacBook, just with stunningly tiny bezels.  Read more...

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
