President of JetSpeed Records, Courtland Tyler announced today that JetSpeed Records will sponsor the Orange County Music Awards (OCMA) on Saturday April 8, 2006 at the The Grove in Anaheim, California for the fourth year in a row. This is the Fifth annual OCMA show, brought to you by the same producers of the Inland Empire Music Awards (IEMA), and the Southern California Music Awards (SCMA). JetSpeed Records has sponsored all of the preceding award shows in the past and is thrilled to sponsor the OCMA’s for the fourth year in a row.

This regional award show, similar to the Grammy Awards, is designed to showcase and award Orange County talent in various musical genres. The show will feature a night of live music performances and special guests. A portion of the OCMA event ticket sales will help benefit Right to Rock, a non-profit association that supports school music programs.

Professional industry, award-winning judges, including a representative of the JetSpeed team, will evaluate artists and give awards in more than 25 categories including: “Best Live Band,” “Best World,” “Best Song,” and “Best Vocalist.” The submission process is still open to the artists and the nominees will be announced soon. The entrance fee to participate is $25. Complete details on categories and how to enter are available at www.orangecountymusicawards.com.

Concerts preceding the awards are being hosted at DiPiazza’s in Long Beach for the Best Live Band category every Thursday at 8 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge and all fans of local music are welcomed and appreciated.

Every band hopes to soon join a long and well-known list of artists such as Jackson Browne, Social Distortion, Berlin, No Doubt, Lit and Sugar Ray that got their starts in Orange County before achieving international acclaim.

JetSpeed is proud to be a sponsor of the OCMA Show. "Each year the shows are getting bigger and better. The talent keeps getting even better and every award ceremony attracts more media attention," said President, Courtland Tyler.

JetSpeed Records will have an informational booth, displaying their most recent artists and releases. Everyone at the label is looking forward to another successful show.
