I don't believe a word of it.

I can't see somebody even attempting all of that shite in the middle of staying out of town so he can be closer to his daughter's hospital.

The son of country music legend Hank Williams faces a court appearance today on charges of assaulting a waitress in a hotel bar.

Williams Jr, who himself has a successful solo singing career, is reportedly to have assaulted Holly Hornbeak at the Peabody Hotel in March of this year. Allegedly, Williams Jr tried to kiss Hornbeak, cursed her and lifted her in a stranglehold, in documents issued by Shelby Country Sheriff's office.

Williams, who protests his innocence, says he was in town after visiting his daughter Hilary, who was hospitalised after a car accident. His lawyer claims Williams Jr is a "victim of greed", quoting a letter received on March 21 which attempted to extract an "outlandish amount of money".

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
