I wouldn't mind seeing them. The new singer is pretty good and not that different from Sebastian Bach. I'm sure they would play a lot of the old stuff. The new album Thickskin has been getting good reviews. The 3/10 show in LA is just over the hill from me and I know it has to be closer to some of you. Although there have been a couple lineup changes, they still rock hard. For those that can, go check them out.

There's a funny story here. A friend of mine was the dj at my wedding reception. At one point he played "I Remember You"' I gestured to him to turn it up. He did. Way up. The look on the faces of my 72 yearold mother and 88 year old aunt were priceless. Kind of like "what in the hell is that?" To this day I think about that every time I hear that song.

I just heard it yesterday on KNAC. It brought back memories for me also. It was, I think, one of the first 5 or 10 CDs I owned (I started late, but made up for it ;) ). It was in my early-military, pre-marriage days. Still a great album along with the exceptional follow-up, Slave to the Grind.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
