50 Cent's posse busted on gun charge

50cent.jpgTwelve members of rapper 50 Cent's entourage have been charged with criminal possession of a weapon after their vehicle was stopped for running a red light in New York.

According to the police report on Monday's incident, two guns were found in the van. After being charged Tuesday, all 12 were released pending a hearing in December. 50 Cent himself was not involved. He was in town for shows on Monday and Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

The charges came the same day that 50 Cent, who admits he was a drug dealer in his youth, published his autobiography detailing brushes with the law and several gunfights, including a 2000 incident where he was shot nine times in Queens, New York.

In the book, he says he is constantly aware that he could be the target of the attack and that police watch him closely because they see him as a troublemaker.

"I hate going to perform in New York City now," he wrote in the book. "I don't pick my fights with the law or anybody else. I just end up in them."

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
