FL bans sex offenders from public storm shelters

I think if they're going to be treated like second class human beings, then that means their prison terms are probably not long enough.

If people still believe they are a threat to society, and don't want them in storm shelters, then why are they free?

What's the point of all this?

On one side, they may have served their prison sentence, but on the other side, are they really considered free and equal people by the populace even though they "did their time" (hypothetical)?

I think the real problem hasn't been solved, and this is frustrating to see because it's a sort of "unofficial" dealing.

I feel that if you're going to release a sex offender from prison, but you still don't believe he's rehabilitated and able to be accepted as a full functioning member of society, then what the fuck was accomplished in prison?

Why let him/her out?

If it's not possible, life them.

Don't let them out.

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
