BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Things are not what they seem to be at the Playboy Mansion. The blonde sidling up for a pat turns out to be Archie, a male mutt living the good life at Hugh Hefner's estate. A bubbly woman clad in a T-shirt (tight), shorts (very short) and heels (very, very high) is an official G.O.F. -- Girlfriend of Hef -- but also holds two college degrees.

Hefner, at least in a preview copy of the first episode, makes only cameo appearances. We see much more (although not too much, for any Puritans out there) of his squeezes.

Maybe she's a nuclear physicist, I don't know.

I do know that the article went out of its way to hype the fact that she had two college degrees.

She must be getting a truck load of money if she doesn’t have another job related to one of her degrees.

It's either this or she likes parading around in a bunny suit for some geriatric.

I would think being a G.O.H. (girfriend of Hef) is probably a well paid occupation. Food, rent, hair, makeup and transportation should be covered fairly well. I bet Hef provides a shopping per diem for all the skimpy outfits he likes to see them in too.

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
