New 'Star Trek Beyond' Trailer Shakes Things Up

Tinkering with what's succeeded in the past is always a risky endeavor for filmmakers, especially those who tackle sequels. For example, the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond marked a departure point for the series, leaving behind J.J. Abrams' classic, epic style in favor of a new approach by director Justin Lin, who helmed four films in the Fast and Furious franchise. Oddly enough, though, some fans who were disappointed by the previous installment, Star Trek Into Darkness, and advocated for something totally different suddenly started complaining that the first trailer was too different.
