Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster Expecting a Child

rodstewart.jpgNEW YORK, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster confirmed today that Penny, 34 is pregnant. Stewart, the Grammy-award winning Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and his fiancee, model/photographer Penny Lancaster held off confirming earlier reports since she just reached her 12th week of pregnancy and at this point, they were able to notify family members of their exciting news.

Their baby is due early December and they plan to marry in Spring 2006.

Said Stewart: "I am overjoyed and extremely proud to be able to confirm that my fiancee Penny is carrying our baby. I count myself blessed to have bestowed upon me the honour of fatherhood again with Penny whom I love and cherish so much."

Stewart Seeks Divorce 6 Years After Split

LOS ANGELES - Singer Rod Stewart has filed for divorce from actress Rachel Hunter, citing irreconcilable differences.

Hunter, 35, and the veteran British rocker were married in 1990, but split in 1999, court documents filed Thursday show. Hunter originally filed for divorce in 2003 but later withdrew her request for unspecified reasons.

The couple have two children, 12-year-old Liam and 10-year-old Rene.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
