Moby Hits Out At Stefani

moby.jpgDance music pioneer Moby has blasted pop singer Gwen Stefani for inviting too many of her famous friends to perform on her latest album Love Angel Music Baby.

Moby, who has worked with Stefani himself, argues the album should have been simpler, with just the singer, 34, and an acoustic guitar.

Instead, she brought in artists such as Andre 3000, Missy Elliott, New Order and rap star Eve, who appears on the current hit 'Rich Girl'.

Moby, 39, says, "I like her as a person and she's made some great records, but that new one has too many people involved.

"There's not enough Gwen on it. I'd rather she produced it herself and used just an acoustic guitar.

"It would have made it a more interesting record for me."

This is how shitty music (especially rap and R&B music) is put together.

It's always Joe/Jane asshole "Featuring" some other asshole, with so-and-so dipshit special-super-dee-duper guest jackass.

Stefani needs bullshit like this because she can't make quality music by herself (Moby, she probably can't play the acoustic guitar, and even if she could, probably not well enough to make good music).

Little does she know though, that even with all the no-talent hack assholes in the world, she still can't produce anything good associated with her name.

Also, it's painfully obvious she doesn't write her own music anymore (I say "anymore" because it's possible she wrote some No Doubt songs).

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
