MOISSANITE

If any of you are familiar with moissanite please respond to this:

Does anyone know of a song in which the artist (rapper) would mention his moissanites or his "Charles & Colvards"?

Moissanite is a relatively new jewel on the market that looks remarkably like a diamond. It even tests as a diamond on a diaond tester. The thing is - it's not being marketed as a fake, just unique.

It was found in a meteor crater in the Arizona desert over 100 years ago by Dr. Henri Moissan. It's the second hardest substance on earth (Silicon Carbide, diamond is pure carbon), and is about the 10th the cost of diamond. Don't get this stone mixed up with Diamonique, Diamonaire, or fake CZ. It's difficult to produce and costly. But Destiny's Child wears it as well as Vivica Fox.

Sales would go throught the roof if Jay-Z would write a lyric about it. Something like "I'm like 8-ball and MJG - coming out hard . . . lighting up the club in my Charles & Colvards"

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
