We can now reveal the venue will be Tobacco Dock in Wapping. The Grade 1 listed building will be the perfect location for this techno extravaganza, where you’ll be treated to a night of tricks from the DRUMCODE crew and extra treats from AWAKENINGS.

Halloween has become a major event in the London clubbing calendar and this year at the very top of the pile will be the legendary DRUMCODE Halloween show. To mark the 5th Anniversary they’ve called on heavyweight Dutch promoters AWAKENINGS to put their unique hallmark on the amazing Tobacco Dock venue.

After 4 years of selling out the hallowed Great Suffolk Street warehouse they have decided to move it up a gear. Head label honcho, Adam Beyer, has handpicked his usual label cohorts alongside a stellar guest line up of established and new talent. Known for their incredible production and unforgettable parties AWAKENINGS will bring a whole new dynamic to this infamous date in London's techno calendar.

AWAKENINGS is an institution in the Netherlands and one of the most famous techno promoters worldwide always selling out their events and festival, including the well known 2 day festival 60,000 capacity techno extravaganza, Awakenings Festival as well as shows at Amsterdam’s now infamous Gashouder.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
