After Easter Sunday with Danny Krivit and The Reflex, Slide return on the end of May bank holiday with regular guest and purveyor of the finest disco, Dimitri From Paris, alongside fellow Frenchmen, The Reflex, across the terrace and club spaces at The Prince Of Wales Brixton (formerly known as Brixton Clubhouse).

As the French Ambassador of stylish club sounds, Dimitri from Paris is everything his nation could be proud of: a DJ, producer, & remixer of the highest standard, and a stylish snake-hipped pin-up with French reserve. In a nutshell, there are two distinct sides to Dimitri: a undeniable elegant and, a devoted dance music fanatic.

In 2005 the French government awarded him the very official rank of Knight of the Arts and Letters. Along with Air and Cassius he was the first artist from the Electronica field to be given such a distinction.

Dimitri has several compilations including the cult "Deluxe House of Funk" and the infamous "A Night At The Playboy Mansion" lately charted again in Mixmag's top 100 of best compilations ever.

Recently, remixes for The Rapture, Holy Ghost and Storm Queen have been well received and further are planned alongside original productions under his Erodisco guide.

This is again a rare opportunity to catch DFP in such a small space in London, we recommend early purchase, do not miss out!

Born in France but a London resident for fifteen years, The Reflex is a producer / DJ who specializes in edits and remixes, mostly done from the original master tapes.

With imaginative arrangements and intricate editing, The Reflex breathes new life into classic soul, disco and pop tracks, extracting the killer grooves into ultra-tight edits.

No newcomer to the music scene, The Reflex work is the culmination of twenty years of DJing, record digging and producing resulting in head-turning reworks that have caught the attention of a massive and wide range of DJ’s around the world including Dimitri From Paris, Gilles Peterson, Danny Krivit, Greg Wilson and many more.

Support from Mullet Records main man - Casio Social Club and more across the venue.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
