  1. As a remixed version of The Gap Band's 1982 classic "Outstanding" played in the background, Uncle Murda unleashed his "Rap Up 2019." Each year, Uncle Murda gives the world hip hop highlights from the previous 365 days, and he recently promised that this installment was coming. He shared on Instagram his displeasure with singer K. Michelle and her support of Tekashi 6ix9ine's release, noting that he planned on adding her to "Rap Up 2019." Not only did Uncle Murda inject her name into his long list of names, but he also kicked off the whole thing beginning with her. He spoke about 6ix9ine and his baby mama Sara Molina, Nipsey Hussle's tragic death, Bobby Smurda's forthcoming release from jail, not wanting to Free Kodak, Juice WRLD not having a drug problem but only allegedly taking pills to hide them from federal agents, singer Tank's fellatio controversy, the Power theme song, Drake getting booed while performing, the Popeye's chicken sandwich craze, Kanye West using Jesus for money, Jussie Smollett's alleged attack hoax, Jay Z partnering with the NFL, R. Kelly's legal issues, Trump getting impeached, 21 Savage's deportation woes, Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner's breakup, Lil Nas X coming out as gay, and he even called Omarion's baby mama Apryl Jones a "whore." And that was just the first half. The track comes in at a little over 10 minutes and is quite a lot of information to digest, but Uncle Murda made sure to put his spin on things. Give it a listen or two and let us know if he managed to recap everything. Quotable Lyrics Omarion's baby mother a whore She f*ckin' Fizz so he kicked B2K off the tour (Blame Apryl) I'm thinkin' what the f*ck Imma say now Drake got booed off stage by a gay crowd (Not Drake) It was them Tyler, The Creator fans He was on Flex show rappin' 'bout f*ckin a man View the full article
  2. Adidas took advantage of several different pop culture phenomenons in 2019, which results in collaborations with Marvel and Star Wars, as well as Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon and Toy Story. The Three Stripes will look to keep the ball rolling in the new year, and that will reportedly include a James Bond-inspired Adidas UltraBoost in honor of the upcoming 007 film, "No Time to Die." Take an early look at the 007 UltraBoost in the IG post embedded below. As a nod to James Bond's sleek style, the Adidas UltraBoost collab features a blacked out construction, highlighted by "007" branding on the heel and a gun barrel logo on the tongue referencing the intro to each Bond film. Adidas has not yet announced release details for this collab but one would assume the kicks will be available sometime around April 8, when "No Time To Die" hits theaters in the U.S. View the full article
  3. An undefeated professional record. Twenty-three wins. Twenty-two knockouts. Gervonta Davis has worked overtime for his successes in this last decade and it's undeniable that Tank is the present, and future, of professional boxing. The 25-year-old fighter's star hasn't even reached its peak and he's already an international, champion superstar. His name may get itself entangled in headlines due to the women he's romantically linked himself with or because he may have a run-in with the law, but when it comes to going hard in the ring, Tank doesn't mess around. Fresh off of his win against Yuriorkis Gamboa last weekend in Atlanta, Gervonta shared a photo of himself as he looked bruised and battered. In the caption, the boxer shared an inspirational message with hopes that it will motivate others to chase after their dreams in the new year. "Wear my war wounds proudly," Tank wrote. "I did the unthinkable I came from nothing I beat the odds..I did what most scared to do and that’s take a chance not knowing where it will take me...a lot of ya hold ourselves back from our bright future because our past...I made it this far off of heart and not giving a fuck! 3x Champion 2 weight classes #TheONE." 5. With the year and decade coming to an end, millions of people are sharing lessons they've learned over the last 10 years. Social media is crawling with before and after side-by-side photos of people who are reflecting on their circumstances this time back in 2009, including many celebrities whose lives have drastically changed after being bitten by the bug of fame. Lizzo previously took the time to share how far she's come following her Saturday Night Live performance, writing on social media that she was once a sign spinner for Liberty Taxes. On Tuesday, Lizzo also took part in the thoughtful 2009 to 2019 posts and added her own. "2009 was the year my daddy died. 2009 was the year I lived in my car & cried myself to sleep on thanksgiving," she wrote. "2019 is the year my album & song went #1. 2019 is the year I told my mama I can buy her a house. Anything can happen in a decade. Tomorrow is the beginning of ur Anything." Aside from her motivational message, Lizzo also showed off her red hot New Year's Eve look and suggested that she was planning on showing out. "Finna go Lizzo and show my whole ass tonight ," she wrote. Check out her posts below. View the full article
  6. Monday marked LeBron James's 35th birthday and unsurprisingly the basketball icon celebrated in style. The Los Angeles Lakers star, his wife, and his crew reportedly ran around Hollywood having the time of their lives. It's said that they all visited Hollywood's legendary Sunset Tower luxury hotel before making their way over to Crazy Girls strip club. Everyone drank—and danced—the night away as they donned fancy eveningwear and judging by the photos, they all enjoyed themselves greatly. Joe Scarnici / Stringer / Getty Images On Tuesday, LeBron not only prepared for his New Year's Eve celebrations, but he also shared an inspirational and reflective message on Instagram. He uploaded a baby photo of himself and in the caption, he gave gratitude to those who have been by his side throughout his life. "35 years of existence of life so far and I just hope that I’ve made everyone that love me from 6 months of age(picture shown) to now proud of me!," LeBron penned. "Thank you for believing in me when at times I personally didn’t know i had it myself." He added, "Means a lot from the bottom, top, sides and middle of my ! 7. LeBron James may be the most athletic basketball player of the last two decades, but it appears that he was snubbed as an 8th grader. As reported by ESPN, a photo of James' eighth-grade yearbook resurfaced on Twitter and went viral. In the photo, Virgil Robinson was named as the most athletic kid in the class. To make matters worse, James' first name was misspelled and placed under the wrong photo. The yearbook had to publish an apology. LeBron's high school teammate at the time, Romeo Travis, stood up for Robinson, who went on to play football at Bowling Green. "Virgil was the most athletic at the time. He played 3 sports," he argued. James responded with a since-deleted tweet which was littered crying and laughing emojis. "Man knock it off Rome! ... I don't care if he played 1 million sports, wasn't more athletic than me in 8th grade," he struck back. CJ McCollum decided to jump into the debate himself, tweeting, "We can’t just take y’all word . We need to hear from Virgil." It's nice that James decided to be humble and delete the tweet, but it would have been entertaining to watch the debate unfold further. James recently celebrated his 35th birthday and is entering his third decade in the NBA in 2020. View the full article
  8. At the beginning of this year, there was that viral Internet trend of the #10YearChallenge. People shared photos that documented their evolutions across a ten-year span. Mariah Carey, forever existing above the status quo, refused to participate in the challenge. Actually, she participated, but insisted on rewriting the rules. She posted a split-screen of two identical photos, explaining that she didn't "get this 10 year challenge" since "time is not something [she acknowledges]." She merely conceded that the picture was "taken at some point prior to today." Since this iconic moment, it has become a running gag that Miss Carey lives beyond the bounds of time and has inspired many to adopt her philosophy. Yesterday, Mariah Carey reasserted her infinite nature when reacting to the fact that she has become the first artist in history to have No. 1 songs on Billboard's Hot 100 in four distinct decades. If you're wondering how she achieved this feat before we have even entered 2020, it's because January 1st is tomorrow and "All I Want For Christmas Is You" will be sitting pretty at the top of the chart until the end of the week. Carey rejoiced along with her fans, but she had a quick question about this milestone. "Yaaaaaaaaay!!! WE. DID. IT. But.... what’s a decade?," she tweeted with with a bunch of celebratory emojis. Honestly Mariah, I have no idea. I don't acknowledge time. Does anyone else have an explanation? View the full article
  9. Mariah Carey's Twitter has been hacked. Over 50 tweets were published before the page was temporarily shut down and the tweets were deleted. Still, the damage was done. At 6:30 PM ET, Mariah Carey's account tweeted "Eminem can still hold this pu**y.." The hackers were obviously trying to stir the Eminem/Mariah Carey/Nick Cannon pot. Not too long after the first tweet, the hackers sent out another Eminem targetted message. "Eminem has a little penis" the account tweeted. After the initial jabs at the rapper, the hackers got bolder and began spewing out all types of garbage. "As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised account and are currently investigating the situation," a Twitter spokesperson told USA Today. Several of the hacked tweets told users to follow third-party accounts and some posts also referenced the hacking group Chuckling Squad. The Chucking Squad also took credit for hacking Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's account back in the Summer of 2019. "He was a member of Chuckling Squad but not anymore," said a Chuckling Squad leader who goes by the name Debug. "He was an active member for us by providing celebs/public figure [phone] numbers and helped us hack them." View the full article
  10. Last year, Mark Wahlberg gave Post Malone his acting start. The rapper debuted his acting skills in Wonderland. Although it was far from a groundbreaking role, fans can expect Post to keep taking acting gigs, as long as directors allow him. Post was waltzing through New York City preparing for New Year's Eve when TMZ caught up with him. The rapper spoke about a number of topics, including his acting career. After admitting that he doesn't really have the face for films, Post got a little candid. "I don't know! I'm trying to expand into other things," he explained. "I guess, test myself to see what I can do. By no means am I going to be an actor... pretty shitty at it but I tried my best." When asked if he had taken any acting lessons, Post responds with a toothy "no." When asked about his favorite album of the year, Post kept it diplomatic and stated that many people killed it in 2019. He refused to commit to one artist. When the Cowboys came up, Post remained diplomatic and decided not to comment on the coaching situation down in Dallas. Smart move. Post's latest face tattoo has also been the talk of the town, which he also touches on below. View the full article
  11. Kevin Spacey has settled with one of his many accusers. The actor's career took a disastrous turn after several sexual allegations became public. He was immediately removed from House of Cards, which was Netflix's first original series. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the anonymous sexual assault lawsuit against Kevin Spacey is over, according to papers filed in federal court Monday. The plaintiff, who refused to be identified and was suing as a "John Doe," claimed that he was forced to grab the actor's genitals twice during a massage at a private residence in Malibu. Spacey tried to get the case shut down since the accuser was anonymous, but a judge allowed the case to move forward. But, then "John Doe" died, and Spacey's attorneys filed a notice of death in court. This gave the accuser's estate a 90-day period to be substituted into the case. Attorneys for Spacey filed a stipulation to dismiss the case with prejudice (which means claims can't be refiled). This led to the reported settlement, but no terms of the deal were made public. In more Spacey news, another one of his accusers, the Norwegian author Ari Behn, died by suicide. It is unfortunate that Spacey's accusers won't get their day in court. View the full article
  12. In celebration of the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog film, Adidas and Damian Lillard have created a special edition "Chasing Rings" colorway of his latest signature shoe - the Adidas Dame 6. The Sonic-inspired sneakers come equipped with a split design, featuring blue on the outer half as a tribute to the main character, while a red inner half serves as a nod to Knuckles the Echidna. The kicks are also highlighted by the ultra lightweight Lightstrike cushioning, which makes its appearance in Dame's signature series for the first time. Per Adidas: “The silhouette embodies Dame’s multi-dimensional persona from both sides of the shoe. The outside speaks to Dame’s focus, while the interior peels back the layers to showcase the inner workings of the shoe and celebrates Dame’s ruthless mindset on the court.” Adidas has not yet announced release details but it is believed that the Dame 6 "Chasing Rings" will be available sometime around February 14, when the Sonic The Hedgehog film hits theaters. Take a look at some additional photos in the IG post embedded below while we await the official announcement. View the full article
  13. The New Orleans Pelicans will get some much-needed help next month, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. “I’m told both sides are hopeful of a January season debut for (Zion) Williamson," he stated on Tuesday, giving Pelican fans some hope going into the New Year. Williamson suffered a torn meniscus in October. After surgery, his initial recovery time was slated at 6 to 8 weeks. Although that would have had him back in the game already, the Pelicans are reluctant to start the number one draft pick. Reportedly, the team has been working on the young athlete's kinetic chain to reduce the chances of him re-injuring his knee in the future. The Pelicans are currently 11-23, making them the second to last team in the Western Conference. Only the Golden State Warriors have a worse record, which is pretty astonishing within itself. It may be smarter for the team to sit Williamson for the rest of the season, get a nice draft pick, and start off the next season strong. That may not be what Pelicans fans want, but it may be better for the franchise overall. In the preseason before his injury, Williamson was averaging 23.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 steals. He was also shooting just over 71 percent across four exhibition games. 15. When Le'Veon Bell signed with the New York Jets prior to the season, fans felt as though it was exactly what the team needed. Bell is one of the best dual-threat running backs in the entire NFL and any team would be excited to have him. Unfortunately, the team's offensive line was fairly pedestrian and wouldn't allow him to thrive. During the team's final press conference of the year, head coach Adam Gase was fairly dismissive of Bell and didn't appear to want him back. According to Brian Costello of The New York Post, Jets General Manager Joe Douglas isn't promising anything and says they are "going to listen" to any offers thrown their way. Douglas wasn't the GM that signed Bell so it's clear that he doesn't have very much sentimental attachment to his running back. Scott Taetsch/Getty Images If Bell were to be traded, there would be a ton of teams looking for his services. Bell is a talent that is hard to find which means teams will be lining up to get him. Meanwhile, the Jets can always decide to keep him although his relationship with his head coach might be beyond repair, at this point. Stay tuned for updates on this situation as we will be sure to bring them to you. View the full article
  16. Ice-T is facing backlash online after sharing a meme from a Pro-Donald Trump conspiracy theory page. On Monday (December 30), the rapper/actor shared a tweet of an image of a fiery "Q "letter and a quote that reads, “Never Interfere With an Enemy While He’s in the Process of Destroying Himself.” The quote is timeless, and has been around for possibly hundreds of years. That wasn't what upset his fans though, it was the letter "Q" that got the Twitter fingers going. The "Q" stands for QAnon, which is a far-right conspiracy group that believes government forces have conspired against Donald Trump. Fans began to tweet confused or angry messages to Ice-T as soon as he shared the tweet. "Hey ice t why did you just post a picture from the Qanon conspiracy. do you believe it?," one user asked. Ice-T replied, "I have no idea what that is... I just liked the quote." Ice-T hit back to a flurry of angry tweets with "ATTENTION: If I post or say something YOU don’t like.. PLEASE unfollow.." That gained a response from one user of, "It's not about someone liking something or not. It's the fact that you (accidentally?) spread a QAnon conspiracy theory meme. Your celebrity status and blue check validates it regardless of how you feel about. It's not about hating." Ice-T responded, "EAT A DICK..." Although he was adamant about not deleting the original meme at first, Ice-T apparently took it down after being hounded online. Check out the back and forth below. (Source) View the full article
  17. Are you having difficulty keeping up will all the women who have entered allegations that Future is the father of their baby? Don't worry, the majority of us are. In the past, Wendy Williams even created a whole damn chart to discuss what Joie Chavis, Ciara, Eliza Seraphin, and others were up to. Despite his iconic status as an Atlanta musician, Future Hendrix always gets clowned online for the struggles in his personal life. His toxic nature serves as fuel for his music but in real life, it hasn't done him any favors. With a handful of women trying to get child support money from him, the rapper has a large monthly bill and Cindy Parker is the latest name on his growing list. In recent months, the legal battle between Future and Cindy Parker, a Texas-based woman, has heated up and just this week, the recording artist apparently requested a gag order in their paternity case. It's unclear whether or not the judge will grant Pluto's wishes but, until then, Parker is happy sharing photos of her alleged son with the star. Giving birth in the summer, Parker shared an adorable picture of Legend Wilburn, one of Future's alleged kids. The two share some facial features but based on looks alone, it's not easy to determine whether Future is actually his father. "My greatest blessing of 2019," wrote Parker as her caption. "I couldn’t imagine life without you. God blessed me when he sent you. I’ll always ride for you forever & ever." Take a look at baby Legend below. [via] View the full article
  18. Parents approaching celebrities on behalf of their children always results in some hilarious and embarrassing scenarios. A video circulating of an encounter between a mother and Zendaya proves this. An excited mom recognized Zendaya in a restaurant in Oakland, CA and asked to record a video for her son, who is supposedly a big Zendaya fan. "Hi Jordan! Guess who it is?!" exclaimed the mom, as her and Zendaya's faces filmed the frame of the front camera. Turns out it was the mom who ended up guessing who it was, but guessed wrongly. "Your girl from the show, 13 Reasons!" the mom conjectured, referring to Netflix's 13 Reasons Why. Zendaya quickly pointed out that she's from another teen drama TV series. "Oh, I'm not on that show... I'm on Euphoria, darling," she graciously explained to the older woman. Zendaya gets a good laugh out of the mix-up, while the mistaken mama turns the camera and says, "I'm sorry, I said the wrong show!" It's hard to believe someone could not know who Zendaya is in 2019 when she's one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but we all make mistakes. The son shared the video that him "weak" on Twitter and it has since gone viral. Watch Post Malone get approached by a mom who claims her daughter wants to marry him. View the full article
  19. You don't have to like Russ but you should respect him. The man loves to remind us that he does everything himself from mixing, producing, rapping, singing, composing, arranging, designing, and everything in between. He's been an easy target for rap fans after some of the comments he's made about drug use and the industry as a whole, but on the low, he continues to boast an organic fanbase made up of millions of supporters around the world. Russ can spin the globe, choose a random country, and sell out their largest arena. That's the stage he's reached but, at the beginning of the decade, nobody was checking for him. He posted a direct juxtaposition of his shows back then and his performances now, pointing out the stark contrast in audience size. Taylor Hill/Getty Images When Russ first started getting serious as a performer, there was almost nobody in the crowd at his shows. As he learned the ins and outs of the business, he started to attract more and more fans though, eventually ending up where he is today. Celebrating the end of the decade, Russ posted a comparison of what things used to be like and how they are now. "Beginning of the decade...end of the decade. What a journey it’s been," he wrote. "Considering where this next decade is starting at, I’m excited. thanks for all the support. 2020 and beyond OTW!!" Are you planning on hitting a Russ show in the new year? View the full article
  20. There was a time when many people thought Robert Griffin III could be the biggest name in football. The quarterback had an exceptional skill set that included both running and passing. He was carrying the torch left by Michael Vick and in his rookie season, he was phenomenal. From there, things began to worse for Griffin as injuries derailed his career. The Washington Redskins took bad care of him and in the end, it hurt his career. Now, Griffin has had a bit of a resurgence as the backup quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. This past Sunday, Griffin was given a chance to start and lead his team to their best record in team history while keeping their winning streak alive heading into the playoffs. Griffin and company defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-10 which propelled them to a 14-2 record. Following the game, Griffin spoke about what made the performance so special. As he explains in the clip above, the win was special because it allowed him to carry the team's momentum forward. Has the Ravens lost, they would have gone into the playoffs on a low note which is something you never want to do, especially as the number one seed. Griffin is hoping he can find an NFL home after this season and this was a test for him to show teams he can start. While his passing stats weren't impressive, Griffin was still able to run for 50 yards on 8 carries which is pretty good considering it was his first start all year. Needless to say, this was a great first step for Griffin moving forward. View the full article
  21. Joker has become the most successful Rated R movie of all time, and the fans are ready for a sequel. When the film was constructed, director Todd Phillips did not envision a sequel, but a billion-dollar box office hit may have changed his mind a little. While speaking at Deadline’s recent The Contenders New York award-season event, Phillips was asked a number of questions about the film. At one point, he was asked whether he thought Joker's origins in the DC universe as Batman’s enemy had anything to do with the box office success. Phillips doesn't think so. “I think it was more than that,” he said. “I mean, I think there are themes in the movie that really resonated with people. None of us thought an R-rated movie could do over $1 billion across the world. But I think the themes in it really resonated. The thing Scott Silver and I set out to do when we wrote the movie together was to make something meaningful in that comic book space, but also something really that addressed what was going on in 2016, when we started writing. It’s pretty obvious what was happening in our country in 2017 while we were writing it, and really wanted to use Joker to make a movie about the loss of compassion and the lack of decorum in the world." Phillips was also asked about a potential sequel, to which he laughed. “When a movie does $1 billion and cost $60 million to make, of course it comes up,” he admitted while grinning. “But Joaquin and I haven’t really decided on it. We’re open. I mean, I’d love to work with him on anything, quite frankly. So who knows? But it would have to have a real thematic resonance the way this one did, ultimately being about childhood trauma and the lack of love, and the loss of empathy. All those things are really what made this movie work for us, so we’d have to have something that had an equal thematic resonance.” Check out the entire interview here. View the full article
  22. When it was announced that Joseline Hernandez would be returning to the Love & Hip Hop: Miami franchise next season, fans of the show went absolutely bonkers. The Puerto Rican Princess had been absent from the last batch of episodes and people really wanted to keep up with her updates. Now that the super trailer has been released for Season 3, people are still wondering what Joseline's role on the show will be, especially after she was only included in a few seconds of the six-minute-long teaser. Paras Griffin/Getty Images Showing the world what we can expect from the third season of LHHMIA, VH1 opted to leave Joseline Hernandez' contributions a secret for the most part. She appears at the end of the trailer, laughing that she's about to take over but, for the most part, the drama in the upcoming episodes appears to center on Trina and Amara La Negra. Trina is mourning the loss of her mother and she's also apparently urging Amara La Negra to find herself a new manager to further her career, claiming that her existing manager stole over $300K from her. The new season will also explore Trick Daddy's new relationship with a much younger woman, Sukihana's mission to become a full-fledged rap star, Brisco's return to music following his prison release, and more. 23. Shock value is an old friend of Janelle Monae's. The star actress/singer knows how to rile up the masses, trying out new looks and debuting them on red carpets for us all to 'ooh' and 'aah' over. Just the other day, she shared that she had dyed her underarm hair pink, which was a decision many questioned. Monae's fans ultimately praised her for making such a choice, commenting on the picture in droves to remark how brave she is to continually defy the standards set forth by a patriarchal society. In an equally-risky display, the award winner shed herself of her clothes and flaunted her natural body, covering up her chest with her hands and posing in a sea of roses for a beautiful new picture. Posting over a dozen new shots to her social media profiles, Janelle Monae stood out in one particular photo, standing behind a garden of red roses as she protected her modesty by placing both hands over her breasts. Monae has been showing off some of her favorite looks from the decade but, as you would expect, people are gravitating toward the skin-filled pic. How do you feel about Janelle Monae? Do you think she'll keep on achieving new heights in the 2020s? View the full article
  24. They say "Black don't crack," and Jada Pinkett Smith is a testament to that old mantra. Although Jada's acting career took off in the early 90s, it barely looks like she has aged even a day. The Red Table Talk host took to her Instagram to post a picture of herself with a new hairdo. The mogul posted up in platinum blonde box braids, with her original roots still in place. We're not sure if this is a recent picture or one of her from the Fall when she wore a similar look as she stopped by Sirius XM to be on Jessica Shaw’s show. While there, she rocked her braids half up and half down. Either way, Jada looks stunning with the platinum braids that are slightly untwined at the ends. Jada's skin looks immaculate in the picture, and it's hard to believe that she is 48 years old. Glowing and fierce, she captioned the new Instagram post with “You are your soulmate and someone can join in on that fun.” Jada and her husband Will Smith have taken over the social media game in the last two years, becoming somewhat of an inspiration power couple that everyone looks up to. What do you guys think of the platinum box braids? View the full article
