  1. nate I honestly do understand, and I do like this place a lot. Enough in fact to consider this a dead issue. Music discussion with me would probably be very boring for many folks, as tonight i was just sitting here listening to some Flatt & Scruggs. I will still be lurking though, as i will get a lot of ideas about new music to try.

  2. I fully agree Shawn, as they are two totally different sites, with a different basis for their very being. It would be nice to see both sites compliment each other, and i didnt feel proper mentioning your request, as it is personal decision by you, and one that as a friend i feel bound to honour.

  3. I honestly have no idea, as it is a shock to me also. CH is my best friend, a joy to work with as a mod, and our spiritual leader. The others i know are not there all that often, but CH is there every day, and IMHO a very important part of the site. I cannot comment further.

  4. We all figured that the Canadian Goverment would move quickly to stop filesharing as quickly as possible, after the court ruling that filesharing was legal. Now in this article the Canadian Heritage Minister confirms that "Downloading" will be stopped as quickly as possible.

    Music downloaders may have a short honeymoon from potential prosecution as the new federal Heritage Minister has promised to punish music file sharers. ''We are going to make sure that downloading stays illegal,'' said Helene Scherrer, a rookie Quebec MP sworn in as minister last December. ''We will make it a priority so it is done as quickly as possible.''Officials at Heritage Canada, in tandem with Industry Canada, will soon meet to draft legislation to amend a loophole in the Copyright Act that permits music downloading
