  1. I did a bit of research before getting my last camera, and did buy a Kodak cx4230.

It had a lot of nice features for the money including the 3X optical zoom. The battery consumption was less than some others I looked at, it was capable of macro pics, and at 2mp quite capable of good pics. For long lasting pics i still use my 35mil, but it makes a good starter camera. One thing to remember, get a good charger, and at least 4 nimh batteries, as you can go through a lot of batteries especially using preview mode.

  2. Darn it I didnt expect something like this, and thanks to each and everyone of you for the kind words. Dont worry I will be around here quite a bit, and Im still posting beta news at TechTalk. Me makes shameless plug:http://www.pctechtalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=176

Now honestly I was worrying about every thread, and every post too much, and with both of my parents getting up in years, and as happens with age they are needing more help now. They have helped me very much over the years, and still are in so many ways, that it is my turn to be there for them.

If Jorge still wishes I will help out as time and conditions permit. Also Tater, answering your questions have been a true pleasure. Truly I feel honoured by the way i have been accepted by this site, and the members.

  3. I run a very small C drive, and download to that. Once the downloads are done, i transfer them to my D drive defragging them in the process, hence i dont have to defrag my larger drive unless im really trying to muck things up. My C drive gets done whenever it needs it, which is not very often as it doesnt have much on it.

  4. Bombardier, all i can say is that the beta version of SP2 apparently disables certain operating systems using generated serials. This has been tested, so for now Im just going to be even more carefull about what I install. I havnt even installed media player 9 yet, and have no intention of doing so in the near future. I just want to make sure that nobody rushes into an install that can cause problems.

  5. For now just avoid the SP2 betas, although I dont know why folks with a borrowed version would install a beta update. A death wish perhaps? It does appear that with the SP2 update that Bill is going to try and kill any pirated copys of XP pro. When the finished update does come out, i will wait, and let others test it, as I just installed SP1 not long ago. I really dont like to rush into anything.

  6. As usual janet is right on the money, UTC lost many long term threads and it hurt many people with what happened. The thing to remember is that the member that did the deleting there was an admin at one time. It is a good idea to prevent this happening here by using the time frame janet suggested.

  7. To be truthfull, all i know is that they were added, as we have never had a truly designated music discussion section. Any posts about music were just getting lost in the other sections. Honestly although we are mainly listed as the file sharing portal, I always wondered why there was not a music section ,as if we are all into p2p we must be listening to something. What i feel is that our main target base has not changed, but it is just testing the waters to see if it is a viable section to have in the forums.

  8. Im not going in hiding, and do a quick look for some Flatt & Scruggs. they might be hicks, but the music is very tight. They also did a lot of themes for shows you might have seen, and not realized who was doing the music. The beverly hillbillies is one, Petty Coat junction is another, and there is another very good piece of picking that was used in a movie, but Im not going to spoil it for you. Do some looking and discover a very good band.
