  1. Eazy E-Real Compton City G's

Eazy's response to Dre's "Fuck with Dre Day", it's off his "It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa" album. The platinum album made it to # 5 on the Billboard charts and #1 on the hip hop charts. The song was #1 for 11 weeks. Though at the time there was serious hate between the two, at least he made amends w/Dre and Ice Cube before falling victim to aids. One of my personal favs from Eazy.

  2. Sweet Sensation-Take it while it's hot

Off their same titled debut album in 1988, here's a tune for the old school clubheads...It went to #57 on the Billboard top 100. These latin ladies filled dance floors for about 3-4 yrs with their catchy tunes and then like most freestyle/club just seemed to disappear. Lately there's a bit of a revival movement in this type of genre and old school artists are coming out in flocks to keep their music alive. Most of these artists were basically young latino kids who didn't have much as far as exposure as most were on independent labels who didn't have much to spend on videos as you'll see in this one.

  3. Snoop Dog ft Pharell-Drop it like it's hot

#1 smash from the 2004 R&G:The Masterpiece album, Snoop gets down with NERDS front man Pharell. It stood for 3 weeks at #1, & it was Snoop's 1st #1 song on the Billboard top 100. Kinda weird when this song doesn't even come close to his Gin & Juice classic.

  4. Jeff Redd-You called and told me

From the movie Strictly Business, here's one of my favorite new jack songs. Jeff had a couple of decent hits, this, in my opinion being his best. His real claim to fame is helping Mary J Blige getting signed and having her as one of his back up singers. She went on to star status in the R&B world and Jeff faded after writing a couple of hits for Jodeci until recently as he now is the owner of his own record label, Sol Real Records.

  5. Motley Crue-Home Sweet Home

Off their "Theatre of Pain" album in 1985, this "power ballad" climbed into the Billboard 100 charts reaching # 89 on the pop charts. The video is uncensored, plenty of naked chicks to make up for an ok song. My wife likes it so I decided to add it to my collection.

  6. Earth Wind & Fire-Boogie Wonderland

One of my favorite top ten R&B/Disco tracks of all time. From their 9th album, I AM in 1979, this song went on to win the a Grammy for best r&b instrumental performance. Kinda song you find your body moving to without any effort. The younger generations have enjoyed it in the movie Madagascar & in an elaborate dance scene by animated penguins in Happy Feet. Enjoy this classic.

  8. Michael Jackson-Remember the Time

Excellent video & song by music's top mystery man, As crazy as he is, he still has done some of music's finest work. This is off the 1991, Dangerous album, that sold 30 million copies, and went to #3 on the pop charts & to #1 on the R&B charts. Let's remember the time when it seemed like Mike had a couple of marbles left.

  9. P.Diddy-Bad Boy for Life

Nothing was going right for Diddy. Homicide charges, breaking up with J.Lo, Biggie's death, & nobody on Bad Boy could buy a hit. But he & his peeps knuckled up & this song sparked the resurgence of Bad Boy Records. It's off the 2001 platinum album, The Saga Continues.

  10. I think I'm gonna be sick.

Ok, I thought I had you pegged but I'm wrong. Hey, if anyone drives by you with the window down and that song is playing, please don't throw any rocks. It'll probably be me :)

  11. Van McCoy-The Hustle

In my opinion, the best of all the disco songs. In 1975, it went to #1 and it went on to win a Grammy. To this day, both young and older folks hit the dance floor when this is played. RIP to Mr Van McCoy, who died in 1979 of a heart attack but left a song for future generations to get down to.
