Veteran rapper and business mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter dazzled his legion of fans with the release of his Decoded memoir last November. Though originally a hardcover, the book will be getting a paperback reboot in a week, dropping on November 1. The extended version of Decoded features a new afterword and 16 pages of fresh material-–including three new song breakdowns. Several excerpts from the updated material have already hit the Web, including a breakdown of the 1997 track “Young G’s” from Puff Daddy & The Family's No Way Out album, which features both Hov and the Notorious B.I.G. As fashioned in the original hardcover, Jay-Z and co-author Dream Hampton take readers on a behind-the-scenes journey through the song's verses. “Young G’s” was the second and final song that Jay-Z recorded with Biggie, with their chemistry bubbling over from their 1996 pairing on Jay’s debut Reasonable Doubt (the blistering duet “Brooklyn’s Finest” being one of the true standouts). Inside, a candid interview reveals that Lil Wayne’s retirement plans are an act of selflessness and acknowledgment of his accomplishments, rather than the musings of a man simply burned out on the trappings of fame. When pressed about his plans to retire in six years, Wayne answered, “Basically, I have been doing this for eighteen years. That's reason number one. I have accomplished all that I have set out to accomplish and more. Also, I have a label, and I've only put out two artists [Drake and Nicki Minaj]. She claims Mike also told her he would "slit both his wrist and her wrist. He also threatened to throw her off the balcony (4th floor)." Kate says Michael threw a TV remote control at her ... but he missed, so he smashed her cell phone. Major also told police Lohan came over to her apartment the night before ... and they got into an argument that turned physical. Major says she threatened to call police, but Michael banged his head on a door, causing his forehead to bleed ... and warned that if cops came over, he would blame her for the injury. Major told cops she regretted not calling police at the time, but insists "she was scared." Lohan also spoke with police ...insisting last night's incident was triggered by a sexual encounter ... described in graphic detail in the police report. "[Kate Major] did not want Michael to ejaculate inside her. Michael Lohan stated he did ejaculate in her and his girlfriend got very angry." Michael told cops Kate told him she may have been pregnant from previous sexual encounters with him ... which caused an argument ... but Lohan insists he never laid a hand on Kate. Michael also told cops the cut on his forehead was caused by Kate ... who slammed her apartment door in his face on the previous night. As we previously reported, Lohan complained of chest pains ... so cops took him to a nearby Tampa hospital, where he was treated ... and then arrested for domestic violence. Lohan claimed in his statement to police that he and Kate were going to court today to drop a previous restraining order that was in place against him. We're guessing those plans have changed. Law enforcement sources confirm it was Lohan's on again-off again GF [b]Kate Major[/b]. Now this part is classic Lohan: We're told Michael complained of chest pains when he was taken into custody -- so police took him to a hospital. We're told Michael was treated, and then was attempting to slip out of the hospital on his own -- until an officer spotted him, hauled him down to jail and booked him for the alleged domestic violence. Tampa PD's website lists him as still in custody. Michael was last arrested for domestic violence by LAPD back in March after an alleged fight with then-GF [b]Kate Major[/b].
