  1. Well on the subject of the front page.. I'm not sure what desktop resolutions you people run at but it's obviously higher than mine considering you have that internet radio link which is stretching the tables out.

In case you are wondering, I run 1024 x 768 as do most people.

  2. Read up, they apologized.

    24th May, 2004 : Paypal apologises

Today we received an email from Amy Stohlman, an AUP Supervisor at Paypal. She said:

I sincerely apologize for the difficulties you have encountered with your PayPal account. The company values your business, and I would like to offer my apologies for the inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of the limitation placed on your PayPal account, as well as an explanation for the reason the limited access occurred.

Your PayPal account [...] was placed under limited access on May 17, 2004, when a review of the website from which you were accepting donations indicated the use of an anonymizing proxy, which is a violation of our user agreement. Often, when there are issues with a PayPal account, the account is limited in order to protect both buyers and sellers.

Further review of your PayPal account in conjunction with your website indicated that while you were accepting donations for this service, you were not using an anonymizing proxy to access your PayPal account. Accordingly, full access was restored to your account on May 18, 2004. [...]

We feel that this is a fair response to our concerns and have restored Paypal donations. Our only regrets are that it took so long to get to this point, and that Paypal's initial reaction was that there could be no appeal against this decision. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone that helped to persuade Paypal to take a closer look at our case. I responded to Ms Stohlman with some suggestions for how this situation can be avoided with other customers in the future - Ian

  3. It means nothing really. There is enough users now that by word of mouth alone gets the application downloaded thousands upon thousands of times.

I seriously think that KaZaA is heading toward it's last leg though. Newer technologies are taking rise while KaZaA remains as stagnant as ever. Not only that but it's gaining an astonishing amount of negative publicity (people getting sued, etc).

  4. Let's not forget G Dubya going into hiding for at least a day and then later claming that the enemy had the code to air force one. Last I checked, that was a lie.

  5. Yoda you used to annoy the hell out of me before, but not so much now. Whether you believe it or not, you are an integrated part of the p2p community.. even if you have the tendancy to say things in chat that defy logic and reasoning.

  6. I was against this war from the beginning. I think it was started for the wrong reasons, even FALSE reasons.

When I hear about things like this though, I want to hurt these people more. I want to destroy their very way of life. I keep having to tell myself that this is a terrible and stupid way to think but it's hard to keep that mindset. I wonder if that makes me a bad person or bigot.

I'm torn on if I want to view this video or not. From what I have heard and what I've seen Ken say, probably not. Yet, my curiosity continues to drive forward. Who, besides Ken, has opted to actually view this ?
