  1. Behold, the power of cheese. I love this movie, and every time my friends and I watch it, we try to imagine how to cast the retread. So far we have very few set actors for characters:

    Shonuff: Busta Rhymes

    Eddie Arcadian: Jason Alexander

... so fellow cheesy flick fans, how would you cast a modern retread?

  2. Actually, there are firms which are employed by big record labels which monitor the illegal traffic as well. While they want to sue your pants off for "stealing" their music, they also want to know what you're after so that they can continue to shape music into one deformed lump of steaming crap.

  3. i agree w/you, Shithead (you don't mind me calling you that for short, do you?) :) about not having expectations. but don't get me wrong--we liked the idea of the film, the story and all. but there was something about the execution...i don't really remember what it was at the moment. when we run out of new shit to watch, i'll rent it again and report back (if i remember).

Actually, I don't... Kinda why I hung it out there. Deflates flames a little when you insult yourself, eh?

But I know... I rented movies last night, and looked at the director's cut. I have MVP at Hollywood Video... so it would have been free. I instead decided to watch The Last Dragon, again. The hardest part about Donnie Darko is the pace... the pace for the most part is very, very lethargic. I love the movie, but it's not one I can watch over and over.

  4. I have finally discovered how to enjoy any movie. Don't expect anything. Don't ask people, don't read, don't watch trailers. Just watch the movie and take it with no expectations. Donnie Darko is one of those movies that can REALLY suck, if you go in with expectations. The pacing is really grinding at the start, but if you pay attention and make it to the end... it leaves you with one of those... whoa, wtf just happened kind of feelings. Then again, I'm talking out of the side of my neck, because I refuse to watch chick flics....

  5. The photo... the barrel is pointed towards the wrong head. With so many worthy people who want to be parents, then you get idiots who have children... gah.

Wonder if she puts the kid in a carseat, or lets baby ride in her lap?

  6. To reply to the topic of the thread: if eminem is the current hendrix, then I get to be the next Hugh Heffner.

    Anyway.....

You in the Sea-Tac area then Redneck? I'm over here in Cracki-vegas, Yakima.... the lumber mill, Boise Cascade sold a year or two ago, and now the company that bought it is shutting it down. 200+ jobs in a small area. On top of that, Wal-Mart claimed it's first victory, and Food Pavilion is pulling out of town, another 50+ jobs, in a small town. On top of that, Wal-Mart is trying to put in ANOTHER super center on the other side of town, effectively capping the town on either end with Wal-Marts. The town is already a mostly agricultural economy, and they want it to be agriculture and Wal-Mart... friggin great!

  7. well damn... not even an original thread...

    Sister Mary Rotten Crotch

    Lesbian Dopeheads on Mopeds

    Cheese Grater Sodomy (ouch!)

    Penis Flytrap

    Homosexual Daffodils

    Beefcake Messiah

    Pork: The other white band

    Peanut Butter Slut

    and last but not least

    Soggy Biscut

  8. Yeah... like I said, the shipping would probably kill. I should just go buy the thing and see what I can fetch on E-bay. I would keep it, I dig old electronics, but I figure a DJ would appreciate it more than I. Not to mention I don't have the room.

  9. Good beatmatch. What are you using to do your mixes?

I've been playing with some of these programs out to make your own beats, and mixed a few instrumentals with acapellas to get out different mixes. If this is pretty norm here, maybe I'll get some work up. I just play at it, but fully intend to buy some equipment when I'm done with school. Allready done some play with a keyboard/sampler and a Korg(sp?) drum machine/mixer/recorder with a friend at work. A hobby, but with the state of music now days... almost liking my own stuff more....
