Brooklyn-based indie rock band Grizzly Bear dropped by KCRWs Morning Becomes Eclectic yesterday for an interview with host Nic Hartcourt, as well as a set, which includes songs from their collaborative Friend ep, and their first radio performance of a new song, "While You Wait For The Others." Grizzly Bear will be performing this Saturday night with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

Grizzly Bear consists of Daniel Rossen (songwriting/guitar), Ed Droste (songwriting/guitar), Chris Taylor (clarinet/production) and Christopher Bear (drums). Wikipedia provides an apt description of the band: Grizzly Bear "employs traditional and electronic instruments, ranging from a recorder to a laptop, and all four members contribute vocals. Their sound is categorized as experimental rock, folk rock, or just indie rock, and is most dominated by the use of acoustic guitars."

You can listen or watch the show @KCRW, or below. Enjoy.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
