Beatles Gibson SG gets $570,000

The Gibson SG guitar used by Beatles George Harrison from 1966 to 1969 and by John Lennon during the White Album sessions has been auctioned off for almost $570,000.

“George Harrison had given the Gibson guitar to Peter Ham - of the rock band Badfinger in 1969,” says the BBC.

“When Ham died in 1974, it was stored away by his brother and not rediscovered until the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame contacted him in preparation for a Badfinger retrospective in 2002.”

Damn - A friend of mine had the same guitar when I was growing up... By the way, I think the fretboard is the easiest to play...
