Diplo and Madonna Re-Work "La Isla Bonita" to Shout Out Major Lazer

Score another coup for the indomitable Diplo. The superstar DJ has been working with Madonna recently, and last night on British DJ Annie Mac's new television show "Superstar DJs", he previewed a dubplate of her 1987 hit "La Isla Bonita". The remix features Madge reworking the song's opening line "Last night I dreamt of San Pedro", singing "Last night I dreamt of Major Lazer."

On the show, Diplo tells Annie Mac, "This took a hard, long conversation to get this to work,” and later adds, "That’s why I work with all these big artists. Not to even have hits, just to get dub plates, so I can play them once for Annie Mac."
